For over 10 years, since the introduction of the Aquaflex WATERPROOF Installation System, we’ve tested literally thousands of flooring materials for compatibility. With each test we issue a Statement Of Performance (SOP) report. About 98% of the flooring tested passes bond evaluation. Some flooring better than others. A successful test obligates Aquaflex to warrant the flooring installation to, not only 100% concrete-sourced moisture, but also liquid topside water penetration for the life of the floor. You would think that the flooring manufacturers would love to work with us, seeing that were accepting ALL INSTALLATION LIABILITY. Here’s where you’d be wrong.
FLOORING FAILURE IS ADHESIVE FAILURE – on its own, resilient flooring materials are really tough. Designed to handle impact, with scratch resist wear layers and built with moisture resistant composites. Drop LVT in a 5 gal bucket of water and 6 months later it will look exactly the same. The weak link is, and always has been, the installation materials. Make those materials WATERPROOF and you’ll have a truly WATERPROOF solution. Just like the old cut-back installs of VCT from yesteryear, the Aquaflex Solution will be a lasting investment. NOTHING WILL OUTPERFORM THIS SYSTEM GUARANTEED.
The following is just a sample of over 5,000 flooring materials available. All flooring is tested in our lab and evaluated for bond. A 10/10 bond strength requires destruction of the flooring for removal. Our warranty for moisture performance supersedes the manufacturer’s warranty in every case. In fact, no “Manufacturer” of flooring in the US manufactures installation materials. That’s right, they’re distributors! A warranty for adhesive bond can ONLY come from its manufacturer. We invented and manufacture Aquaflex® and assume ALL LIABILITY FOR MOISTURE PERFORMANCE. This is why we like to say, “… we’re redefining WATERPROOF!“
Cobalt Katanga is a unique high performance flooring available in 5mm and 3mm size. The 5mm has incredible acoustic properties when married to Aquaflex. 10/10 on our bond evaluation. Cobalt is tested and certified WATERPROOF and available from your ipsum bbr dealer. A portion of our proceeds from the sale of Cobalt is donated to charities like Good Shepherd, dedicated to fighting child labor in the Katanga province of Congo (DRC). In Katanga, children are used to mine Cobalt used predominately to manufacture Lithium-Ion batteries.

No manufacture of flooring installation materials goes to this extra mile. By doing so we accept ALL liability for bond, limiting the exposure to the flooring installer.
The Aquaflex “Wet-Set” Installation Process is fast and can easily result in over 1200sf of installed flooring within 60 minutes. The Aquaflex system allows for the overnight replacement of flooring without disruption to retail activity.
